  • 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp. cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard powder
  • 4 slices thick cut bacon

  • Line a baking sheet with foil. Place a wire baking rack on top of the foil. Lay four slices of thick cut bacon on the baking rack, and bake for six minutes at 400 degrees.
  • Remove from oven, and use tongs to flip each slice of bacon over. Bake again for another six minutes.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine syrup and all spices. Whisk together to fully combine.
  • Remove bacon from the oven, and use a brush to "paint" the top side of the bacon with the spicy maple glaze. Flip each slice of bacon over, and "paint" the other side.
  • Repeat the same baking method as before : bake for six minutes, flip bacon over, and bake another six minutes.
  • Serve hot, or use for garnish in your Bloody Mary!
